The Sands of Time

Do you ever wonder how much time you have?

How many years, days, minutes?

The sands of time

Drifting down the hourglass

Slowly at first

And then as we get older

It seems to pick up speed

The sand spiraling down

Faster and faster

As we try

Desperately

To find fulfillment

In our lives

To find meaning

To show that we have lived a life

That was worth living

I created this blog as a way to express myself using my poetry and photography. It is a reflection of who I am and of the things that interest me. I have many muses…perhaps the greatest one being my love of the sea, how I gravitate to anything relating to water, how I feel a pull toward it deep in my bones. At times I will be revisiting content that I have shared on Twitter which has, until now, been the forum I have expressed myself in. That said, the content will change over time as the blog grows and develops. It is my hope that the reader will enjoy the journey.

  2. Just beautiful. To answer your question, the older I get, the more I become secure in my knowledge that honestly I have done enough, more then enough. I look back and ask myself how just how I managed to do all I did do and am still doing. (((HUGS))) Amy
