Siren Song

This night

All he could do was stare.

He was mesmerized by beauty.

By this place

By this night

And by her

Especially her.

:

He would have known her anywhere

The elegant and sensual curve of neck and shoulder

Seemingly created for his lips.

The bare expanse of back

That always beckoned to his fingers to caress

And the sweet curve of hip and arse

So beautifully adorned by her red dress.

:

The night air felt soft and velvety upon her skin.

Light danced upon the water.

The evening was rich with romance and possibility.

This place was magical

Always one of beauty to her

It would take on new memories and significance

With him.

She was intoxicated by it all.

By this place.

By this night.

And by him

Especially by him.

:

He had never met her

Not in person.

Being this close to her made him light headed

With desire.

He wanted her.

So much.

For a moment he thought of whisking her away

Foregoing the meal.

But he dismissed that thought.

He had plans

And he was in no hurry.

He wanted to savour every second.

To anticipate how they would tease and tempt their palates

Until they were ravenous for each other.

But for now he wanted to drink her in

To memorise this moment

The beginning of the night

The fulfillment of promise.

:

She could barely contain her excitement.

She recalled his first words to her.

Remembered every message they exchanged.

Thought about the countless nights

Her body burned for him

As she slept alone.

How she ached to be fully claimed by him.

To feel his touch upon the skin he adored.

To feel his lips, his kiss

Knowing they would sear her soul.

How she knew that this night

This time with him

She would never forget.

No amount of imagining could rival

What she was certain he had planned for her

For them.

:

He took the few steps to where she was standing

Smiling, he softly spoke her name.

:

She turned with a smile

The butterflies within her

Threatening to erupt.

:

He gazed at her

Taking all of her in.

From the arched brows above blue grey eyes

The sculpted cheekbones and curved smile

To the dark mane of hair framing her face

Piled high

Leaving her neck bare

For his pleasure.

He sighed to himself.

He would enjoy taking it down later

When she was naked

And his.

:

She would have known him anywhere

His captivating eyes

Holding her prisoner.

And his mouth

Oh his mouth.

The fantasies she’d had of that mouth

How she’d love to bite that lower lip.

To feel the press of those lips along every inch of her body.

She could lose herself in those eyes and lips.

Gladly give herself up to worship by them.

Let him do whatever he wanted

Knowing she could not stop him

Nor would she want to

:

As if by prescribed agreement

His arms opened and she slipped into them

Burying herself in his embrace.

He held her tightly

Their bodies pressed together

From shoulder to hip.

She tilted her head back and he kissed her

One hand upon the small of her back

The other along the back of her neck

Holding her to him, firmly.

The kiss was intense.

Full of pent up feelings, desires.

As he pulled his lips from hers

He felt her shuddering breath

Closed his eyes briefly and smiled

Knowing how she felt.

He caressed her cheek with the back of his hand

And then as he ran his finger over her lips

He looked at her and said, “Are you hungry?”

I created this blog as a way to express myself using my poetry and photography. It is a reflection of who I am and of the things that interest me. I have many muses…perhaps the greatest one being my love of the sea, how I gravitate to anything relating to water, how I feel a pull toward it deep in my bones. At times I will be revisiting content that I have shared on Twitter which has, until now, been the forum I have expressed myself in. That said, the content will change over time as the blog grows and develops. It is my hope that the reader will enjoy the journey.
