Throw back Thursday…

Coming across this picture today brought back a million memories

of years past

of beginnings

of a hopeful future.

Taken in Ireland at a wedding (the hat should be the giveaway that it wasn’t here in the States) I was still wide eyed and innocent of much in the world.

Though many (many) years have past and I have learned much and weathered much, I find that am still innocent of much as well. I’m not sure if that is a good or bad thing but it is me. And I suppose I would rather view the world with a bit of wonder and some innocence than to become cynical and jaded

and without joy.

I think I will keep that girl. She knows what’s important.

I created this blog as a way to express myself using my poetry and photography. It is a reflection of who I am and of the things that interest me. I have many muses…perhaps the greatest one being my love of the sea, how I gravitate to anything relating to water, how I feel a pull toward it deep in my bones. At times I will be revisiting content that I have shared on Twitter which has, until now, been the forum I have expressed myself in. That said, the content will change over time as the blog grows and develops. It is my hope that the reader will enjoy the journey.
