Worship

Letting yourself go

Letting that which you worship consume you

A free fall into beauty, love, desire

:

I adore the gorgeous creation and symmetry of clouds within a perfect blue sky

I am smitten with colour and light and how they dance and sway with each other

I love the sea and everything about it

From the sound of it crashing against rock to the briny smell which always lifts my spirits and tells me that I am home

:

But worship for me takes on a different mantle when I apply it to him

For adoration of nature is a singular thing

But my adoration for him is part of every fiber of my being

It influences each moment of my day

A searing devotion

Unstinting, constant, instinctive

A desire to please

A desire to bring joy to

:

He is my worship

The reason I am on my knees

Reverent for the moments

When he is mine

:

*This is not new but it is relevant, though only to me.

I created this blog as a way to express myself using my poetry and photography. It is a reflection of who I am and of the things that interest me. I have many muses…perhaps the greatest one being my love of the sea, how I gravitate to anything relating to water, how I feel a pull toward it deep in my bones. At times I will be revisiting content that I have shared on Twitter which has, until now, been the forum I have expressed myself in. That said, the content will change over time as the blog grows and develops. It is my hope that the reader will enjoy the journey.
