Siren Whispers

Siren Song

When night closes in

I want to know

the thoughts that linger in his mind

when night closes in.

Do they render him sleepless,

his mind a hive

of activity,

plans and conjecture,

a body fitful with want;

or is he able to pull them

about him,

like a blanket,

feeling every soft pass

against his skin,

an inaudible sigh within

pleasure pulling him deep into dreams.

I want to know

the thoughts that linger in his mind

when night closes in,

I want to know

if they are of me.

I created this blog as a way to express myself using my poetry and photography. It is a reflection of who I am and of the things that interest me. I have many muses…perhaps the greatest one being my love of the sea, how I gravitate to anything relating to water, how I feel a pull toward it deep in my bones. At times I will be revisiting content that I have shared on Twitter which has, until now, been the forum I have expressed myself in. That said, the content will change over time as the blog grows and develops. It is my hope that the reader will enjoy the journey.

  1. So good!

A yearning she didn’t know she had. A yearning he longed to be glad.
A yearning for an eternal soulmate she knew not of.
A yearning for a girl, beautiful, sensual, made for him from above.

A yearning for someone who would join her adventurous mind of exploring, building and discovering.
A yearning for a girl who would stretch his intelligence, heal his wounds with dreams uncovering.

A yearning for a knight in shining armor to hold her hand when the forest gets dark and scary, who would protect her, laugh with her and join her in her new created land.
A yearning for a princess who would join him in greater purposes, celebrate life and make him a better man.

  4. Thoughts of you are an “always” kind of thing for me, Christine. I love this piece. Enjoy your graduation celebration with Jake, and congratulations to him.

  5. Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) soo I guess I’ll
just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I too aam an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to
the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for
rookie blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

    • Hello. I just kind of blundered my way into this so I am not sure I would suggest that. 🙂 I would at least have an idea of what you want to present within the blog, how often you will want to blog, etc. and I would also look around at a variety of blog types and aesthetics and see what you like best and which represents you best. But the best tip I can give you is to blog/write for yourself first. My reason for blogging is not to amass followers or comments or anything of that nature but simply to share pieces of myself in a variety of mediums. The best of luck to you!
