Shadows Fall

IMG_9960

In the silence of the room
vinyl crackles
like some distant message
over a wireless radio. The piano plays
and shadows fall
upon me, the wall, the day.
Twilight beckons,
with fingers of light, its seduction of me
is complete …

Notes to Nobody

Notes to nobody
but this girl I used to be.
Confessing gritty truths
to a parchment soul
stained with salty abandon …

Blackbird Night

IMG_0363

Shall I lose myself in this
blackbird night, lush with silence
and dark thoughts that take root
to bloom in midnight’s garden?

Solitude and reflection,
is a mirror laid upon my cheek
and a sense of belonging is magnified …

A Christmas Eve instruction

IMG_1944 7

Christmas Eve mass.

A time for reflection.

But for her

she was thinking of anything

but the birth of the baby Jesus.

She felt naughty

and alive

for she had been given instruction.

Her eyes danced with mischief.

Her secret

and his.

She knew he must have smiled

as he typed the words

wondering at her reaction

feeling a delicious tug

at the thought of her

doing as he had directed.

Up went her skirt

past the lace top thigh highs

dark against her pale thighs.

She tugged her black lace knickers down.

Off they came and down went the skirt

smoothed along her thighs.

Enjoying the feel of her naked skin and sex

against the skirt.

It was a first for her

and she found it a most delicious practice.

Every time she crossed her legs

every time she moved

she was aware of her bareness.

She thought of him each time

knew he would be pleased

and this aroused her

as pleasing him always did.

Going to church

would never be the same…

Perceptive

fullsizerender3

Her perceptive mind

knew him

understood him

saw her soul

within the reflection

of his

and in seeing

this mirror image

knew with her whole being

that her surrender

to him

meant a similar yielding

of him

to her.

Morning Dew

FullSizeRender

The silence is peaceful

Aiding in reflection

I feel the morning dew

As I walk along the footpath

Lost in thoughts of you

Missing you

Keenly

My longing heart

Feeling like a lost letter

Misplaced

Never having reached its destination

Existing only in darkness

Waiting to be pulled out

And thrust into the light

My heart sighing

In comfort

And relief
